fisues-logosApril 2 - Pan-European sports broadcasters Eurosport have announced that they will show more than 120 hours of live action from this summer's Universiade in Kazan, as well as providing viewers with multi-screen options; a first for the event.


Eurosport's online streaming service, Eurosport Player, will allow viewers to watch live action on the move from the Games via mobile, tablet and connected television's, as well as on channel's Eurosport and Eurosport 2, which will share coverage over the course of the Universiade.

The 2013 Summer Universiade, due to be held from July 6 until 17, will be the first to fall under the six-year agreement signed between the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and Eurosport in September 2012 which will see the Pan-European sports network cover all Summer and Winter Universiades until 2017.

In addition to this, Eurosport will also have reporters and film crews on-site in Kazan to provide live updates and reaction from the Games as well as results and reports posted on the dedicated Universiade section of the Eurosport website.

FISU President Claude-Louis Gallien said: "With Eurosport as a partner FISU will be able to bring the Universiade to the homes of everybody who cannot be present in Kazan."

"Our student athletes will without doubt excel in front of the TV cameras and I'm pretty confident the crews from Eurosport will do the same behind those cameras sharing some exhilarating moments of international university sport with millions of viewers."
