As the two organisations continue working together on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) they signed in July 2010, officials agreed a number of points that will aid the development of the sport still further.

It was decided that the IPC will govern the sport until next year, with the future of Para-snowboard to be evaluated following the conclusion of Sochi 2014.

Meanwhile, the WSF will work to develop the sport at all levels, producing a business plan as part of its application for inclusion in the Pyeongchang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games programme.

Finally, it was agreed that the WSF board of directors will continue to make the development of Para-snowboard a priority within their strategic planning.

The sport's top athletes are set to meet in Sochi next month for the first ever Paralympic test event in the discipline ahead of next year's Games in the Russian city.
