Ashley Adams_Day4_2010_IPC_World_Championships_ZagrebMay 18 - Australia's Paralympic shooting team has won two bronze medals at an international competition in Hanover, Germany.

At the event, 1,400 athletes from 35 nations competed for medals ahead of this summer's London 2012 Paralympics.

Ashley Adams (pictured above) scored 600 in the R3 air prone event, qualifying for the final, where he scored 104.7 to ultimately take bronze.

He also competed well in the air standing, prone '22 and 3P disciplines.

Bradley Mark also took a bronze in the R4 air standing.

A gold medallist at last year's World Cup event in Sydney, Mark shot 598 to claim a bronze medal and make a good start to the season.

Jason Maroney, Luke Cain, Natalie Smith and Beijing 2008 Paralympian Libby Kosmala were all in action too, finishing in the top ten in their respective disciplines as Australia gears up for London.

The team will return home to prepare for the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) World Cup event in London on July 1-5.

Australia did not win a shooting medal at the last Paralympic Games in Beijing, and will be looking to at least avoid a repeat in London.
