Sascha Kindred_London_March_9_2012March 9 - Sascha Kindred picked up his third gold medal of the British Gas Swimming Championships at the Aquatics Centre in London after winning the 100 metres breaststroke.

Kindred won in a time of 1min 23:73se , and the six time Paralympic champion was delighted with his latest success.

"Three golds at this Championships - I can't ask for much more than that," said the 34-year-old Kindred, who has already won 50m butterfly and 200m individual medley this week.

"I think that's 17 golds I've won at British National Championships now so I'm doing alright for myself and it was another solid swim as well tonight.

"It was my second qualifying time as well so it's gone well tonight."

Kindred is the reigning 200m individual medley and 100m breaststroke Paralympic champion, and picked out a positive omen ahead of this summer's Games in London.

"Last time I won three golds here was 2008 and I went and had a brilliant Paralympics," he said.

"If the omens are the same, I'll have a good year this year as well and will perform well in London."

Thomas Young won silver in a time of 1:25:59 and Scott Quin was third in 1:11.82.

It was also a good evening for Amberley Hoar, who won the 100m breaststroke in a time of 1:23:21.

The 18-year-old finished ahead of Nicole Lough and Harriet Lee, who had already secured her place at London 2012 in the morning's heats.
