There is also low availability for rhythmic gymnastics, as well as medium availability for lawn bowls, netball, rugby sevens, table tennis, powerlifting, and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for those who missed out on tickets during the application phase.

Sports fans do not need to reapply for tickets but preference is given to those who were not so lucky with their applications during the first round of sales, during which Glasgow 2014 received more than 2.3 million requests for the one million tickets available.

The first two days - tomorrow and Tuesday (October 22) - will be exclusively dedicated to those who were not lucky enough to get tickets from their initial application, Wednesday (October 23) will be for those who managed to received some of their requested tickets, and Friday (October 25) and Saturday (October 26) will then be for everyone who applied for tickets.

The remaining tickets will then go on general sale to the public.

Glasgow 2014 deputy chief executive Ty Speer spoke of his excitement to open up ticket sales again but also asked customers to be patient with high demand expected.

"Following the overwhelming response to the initial ticketing programme, we're really looking forward to opening up this further opportunity to everyone who has already shown such enthusiasm for the Games," he said.

"We're all set for this exciting new phase of ticketing during which there may be periods of high demand as people select and buy their sports and sessions.

"At these times we'd appreciate the patience of all customers.

"We will be working hard to process all orders as quickly as possible.

"This is a fantastic chance for people to make sure they are part of Glasgow 2014 and can experience a great variety of world-class sport in Glasgow next summer.

"Our existing ticket applicants have shown their overwhelming desire to be part of the Games and we're delighted to be giving them this exclusive second chance to ensure they'll be there."

Meanwhile, Glasgow 2014 also revealed today the schedules for the hockey and netball competitions, taking place at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre and the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre Precinct respectively.

Among the matches, there are still tickets available for the Scottish women's hockey game against England on July 30, while in netball tickets can be purchased for the home nation's group ties against Malawi on July 29, Northern Ireland on July 30, as well as matches involving Australia, New Zealand and England.
