David Beckham_and_Olympic_Flame_June_23June 23 - Samsung and VisitBritain have updated their Best of Britain mobile application to include London 2012 content, some of it supplied by David Beckham.

Samsung, a Worldwide Olympic Partner in the wireless communications equipment category and VisitBritain, the national tourism agency, believe the new content will help both visitors and Britons make the most of Games' venues and beyond.

A key new addition is the contribution made by Beckham, the former England captain and Manchester United and Real Madrid star.

On the app, Beckham shares some of his favourite places to visit in the UK as well as recommendations, accommodation and entertainment options.

Sandie Dawe, chief executive at VisitBritain said: "David Beckham is not only a global superstar, but an ambassador for Britain wherever he goes.

As have social media platforms which enable bloggers to tweet, blog and create stories that highlight the towns and cities on the Relay route.

The Best of Britain app launched earlier this to support the huge interest in Britain around the world, to inspire future travel and create a lasting legacy for places associated with the London 2012 Games.
