Our My Favourite Pin Story competition which launched in May gives you the opportunity to do just that, and we've already received some fantastic entries from readers of insidegamescollecting.

The competition, which celebrates the partnership between insidethegames.biz and Honav – the official exclusive licensee, lapel pin category, for London 2012 – is open to anyone from the pin collecting community whether you're young, old, experienced or novice.

We have received a great story from a member of the Great Britain Fencing Team who took part in the 1988 and 1992 Games, as well as a number of student Games, about his rare pins.

We have also had in a story from a collector who, along with work colleagues, crowned themselves the "Honorary London 2012 Pug Team" – in tribute to the cute breed of dog they all adore and a series of Honav-made pins they wear.

And we also have a touching story from a collector whose "K" shaped pin, just one of 1,000s she owns, has deep sentimental value.


There are stunning first, second and third place prizes on offer in our competition and even if you don't scoop one of the main prizes, each entrant receives a London 2012 Wenlock or Mandeville pin and a limited edition pin from the new insidethegames.biz puzzle pin (pictured above).

Independently judged, only one entry is permitted per person and the closing date is not until October 9, 2012, giving you plenty of time to upload your Favourite Pin Story from either London 2012 or a previous Games.
