The Championships run from March 6 until 11 at the National Indoor Arena.

For Bankier and Adcock it will be the trickiest start possible, as well as an opportunity for revenge.

"Yet another World final rematch in the first round of All England against Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlie," said Adcock on Twitter, referring to their recent encounter in South Korea last month, which the British pair won.

The duo are also battling against British rivals Jenny Wallwork and Nathan Robertson – who face unseeded Thai pair Songphon Anugritayawon and Kunchala Voravichitchaikulfor – for the one mixed doubles place available at London 2012.


"We've not pulled a seeded pair and fingers crossed we can play as well as possible and come up with some good results," said Wallwork.

"The draw is going to be tough for everyone, it's a very strong tournament with exactly the same standard as the Olympics.

"Every tournament we play now is massive for us and we need to progress to the latter rounds."

Other highlights include the reigning men's singles champion and number one seed Lee Chong Wei (pictured below) taking on Wang Zhengming of China.


Second seed Lin Dan meets Ajay Jayaram and third seed Chen Long takes on Tommy Sugiarto of Indonesia.

In the women's singles, top seed Wang Yihan faces Pal Hsiao Ma, while second favourite Wang Xin plays Sung Ji Hyun and third ranked Wang Shixian takes on Cheng Shao Chieh.

Wang Xiaoli and Yu Fang of China are waiting to find out who they will play in the first round of the women's doubles.

In the men's doubles, another Chinese top seeded pair, Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng, face Adrian Liu and Derrick Ng.
