December 18 - Westfield Stratford City have unveiled their premium hospitality lounge which will welcome corporate guests for the duration of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The lounge will be named Altius and will open on July 27, 2012, the day that the Olympic Opening Ceremony takes place at the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.
It will remain open throughout the duration of the Games until the Closing Ceremony of the Paralympic Games on September 9, 2012.
"Altius is an incredibly unique and exciting venue in terms of its location and the premium facilities it will offer to guests," said Mark Zimmer, head of 2012 brand alliance at Westfield Stratford City.
"A great deal of planning, creativity and attention to detail has gone into ensuring the venue exceeds expectations, and we feel confident that Altius will be the ideal location for corporate hosts to engage with their clients and staff throughout Games time."
The lounge is situated on the 11th floor of One Stratford Place, a short distance away from where Team GB will be housed during the Olympics and ParalympicsGB during the Paralympics.
The venue offers panoramic views of both the Olympic Park and Athletes Village, while services will include security and cloakroom facilities, a bar, complimentary Wi-Fi, fine-dining and large screens to watch the action live.
Westfield has partnered with The Ultimate Experience, one of London's leading event organisers, to manage the hospitality programme and client liaison.
With significant hospitality management experience, including running over 250 events and servicing over 100,000 guests during December each year, The Ultimate Experience will work with each client to fulfil their London 2012 hospitality requirements.
