Ticket_for_FIBA_under-19_ChampionshipsMay 8 - Tickets have gone on sale for this summer's FIBA under-19 World Championships, being held in Latvia from June 30 to July 10.


The tickets are available from Bilesu Serviss, the Championship's ticketing partners, and are available for prices ranging from €5-€10 (£4.50-£9/$7-$14).

Customers of Latvia's main telecommunication company Latvijas Mobilais Telefons, sponsors of the event, were the first to get the chance to buy tickets.

FIBA secretary general and International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Patrick Baumann said: "With only two months to go, everyone is getting very excited about the FIBA under-19 World Championship in Latvia.

"With many future stars of the game certain to be present, this is a great sporting event for everyone, whether seasoned fans or people simply interested in getting to know a bit more about the sport.

"Already at EuroBasket women in 2009 did Latvia do a great job in hosting international basketball and I am sure that once again we will have full and passionate arenas setting the scene perfectly for this exciting top class basketball event."
