Speedo_websiteJanuary 15 - A new website featuring double Olympic gold medallist Rebecca Adlington has been launched by Speedo to make learning to swim fun for children and parents.

The colourful site, at www.speedo.com/en/seasquadlearntoswim, features the adventures of Pufferfish, Octopus and Shark, with Adlington also on hand to give expert hints and tips on how to make waves in the pool, and maybe even follow in her footsteps.

A Kids' Zone will provide hours of fun with the thrilling Attack of the Robofish game, where children have to rescue the intrepid Sea Squad trio from the clutches of the evil Dr Kitty Crab, as well as the chance to become their favourite character by uploading a photograph and superimposing their face on a colourful image to print off and keep.

Meanwhile, an interactive quiz will also help to teach important water safety information.

Children can also access door hangers featuring favourite Sea Squad characters, a wallchart to track their swimming progress, fun pictures to colour in and an origami toy to print and build.

For parents, teaching their children how to swim will be easy with detailed video tutorials online and printable guides to use on visits to the pool.

From Start Splashing through to Start Swimming and finally Get Confident, mum and dad can keep a record of their child's progress by ticking off individual achievements, with the option to link to their Facebook account and share their child's progress with family and friends.

The site also provides guidance and advice on how products within the Learn to Swim range work, and how they can be used to help develop a child's swimming ability throughout the three stages of the programme.
