Three-times Olympic medallist and Cuban sensation Lázaro Álvarez and Rio 2016 bronze medallist Mathieu Bauderlique of France were among the winners on day two of the International Boxing Association Men's World Boxing Championships here.

Álvarez dominated Mexican César Morales 5-0 to take the light-welterweight win while Bauderlique got the better of Mohamed Konate Seydina of Senegal with the same scoreline in the light-heavyweight category.

Both Olympic medallists showed their class, countering everything their opponents came up with.

Hosts Uzbekistan also enjoyed a fruitful second day.

Asian champion Ruslan Abdullaev breezed past Manuel Febus of Puerto Rico 5-0 in the light-welterweight category before Abdullaev Shokhjakhon shocked three-times Asian medallist Erkin Adylbek Uulu of Kyrgyzstan 5-0 in the cruiserweight class.

There was more joy for the home fans when Jasurbek Yuldoshev took on Algeria's Younes Nemochi in the last bout of the day.

After taking the first round, Yuldoshev stepped it up a notch with back-to-back blows on the face of Nemochi to take round two.

Nemochi looked worn out as judges declared Yuldoshev as the winner after a straightforward round three in the light-heavyweight category.

Jordan had two-time Asian medallist Odai Al-Hindawi to thank first as he defeated Petar Lijesevic of Montenegro in the cruiserweight class via unanimous decision.

European silver medallist in Yerevan Lounès Hamraoui of France, displayed some sensational counter punches against opponent Matius Mandiangan of Indonesia.

Hamraoui was head hunting and wearing Mandiangan down, before winning 5-0 in the light-welterweight category.

In the same weight class, Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games silver medallist Joseph Commey of Ghana took the first-round against Richard Kovacs of Hungary.

He was on the front foot from start to finish.

But a split decision worked in favour of Kovacs, leaving the Ghanaian surprised.

Greece and India opened their account in the light-heavyweight class today.

It was a piece of cake for Michail Tsamaladis of Greece, who completed a 5-0 rout against Leclerc Nogaus of Haiti.

In the other ring, Asian Championships medallist Ashish Kumar of India did not disappoint as he secured a split decision win with a scoreline of 4-1 against Meysam Gheshlaghi of Iran.
