He dispatched double continental champion Ruslan Lunev of Azerbaijan 17-13 in the decider.

Despite failing to make the final round, Italy's Paolo Monna still managed to finished on the podium with bronze after coming third in the ranking match.

His 249.6 points left him 0.9 better off than Jason Solari of Switzerland.

They snatched a tight 17-15 win over Teodora Vukojević, Andrea Arsović, and London 2012 silver medallist Ivana Maksimović Anđušić.

Duestad won another gold, this time with Jon-Hermann Hegg, in the mixed team air rifle contest following a 16-10 triumph against Israelis Olga Tashtchiev and Sergey Richter.

The 24-year-old Duestad won a stunning third in the women's individual air rifle as she carried over her dominant form to beat Britain's Seonaid McIntosh of Britain 16-10.
