With Thenault, who is second in the World Cup standings, finishing down in 16th position, Scott is on the brink of sealing the overall title.

Scott needs only nine points at the final event in Almaty to claim the Crystal Globe.

It was an Australian one-two in Engadin as Laura Peel landed a lay-full-full to seal silver with 94.65.

Newly-crowned world champion Kong Fanyu of China rounded out the podium places when she bagged bronze with a score of 92.00 for her double full-full.
