The Crown Prince of Fujairah His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi made an appearance at a World Karate Federation (WKF) Karate-1 Youth League event at Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates. 

The Crown Prince was welcomed by WKF President Antonio Espinós and President of the UAE Karate Federation Major General Nasser Alrazooqi.

He met with karate representatives and handed out medals at the Youth League event.

During discussions with officials, topics including the UAE’s status as a host of karate events was discussed.

"I want to thank His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi for taking the time to visit our event and to welcome us at his home, thus allowing us to celebrate with him this memorable tournament in Fujairah and the many values of karate," said Espinós.

"The 2023 Karate 1-Youth League Fujairah has been a major success, and we highly appreciate all the support that we have received from the highest officials here."

The Karate 1-Youth League is a series of competitions designed to promote young karateka, with the next round of the Youth League due to take place in A Coruña, Spain, from April 27 to 30.
