World Lacrosse has announced the schedule for the World Men’s Championship, due to be held in San Diego, California, from June 21 to July 1.

The championship is set to feature 30 countries competing across six pools, with matches due to be played across three venues - the San Diego State University, University of San Diego and the Snapdragon Stadium in the city, which is set to host the medal matches.

The tournament is set to open with an exciting match-up between reigning champions United States and second seeds Canada, a repeat of the final from the previous edition, on June 21.

The field features the top 10 teams from the 2018 edition, along with 20 teams that secured places through continental qualifiers.

Pool action is scheduled to conclude on June 26, with the semi-finals set for June 30 and bronze and gold medal matches scheduled for July 1.

Alongside the US and Canada in Pool A are England, Australia and a Haudenosaunee team, the top five seeded teams according to the current men’s world rankings.

The remaining teams are split among the other five pools based on their finishes in continental qualifiers, with each pool featuring a representative from at least three different continents.

Pool B consists of Japan, Uganda, Wales, France and Denmark, with Pool C featuring Israel, Philippines, Czech Republic, Sweden and Puerto Rico.

In Pool D are Germany, New Zealand, Switzerland, Poland and Jamaica, while Pool E features Scotland, Hong Kong, Italy, Austria and Mexico.

Pool F features Ireland, Korea, Latvia, Netherlands and Peru.
