Al Hilal have stunned 10-man Flamengo to reach the final of the FIFA Club World Cup as they secured a 3-2 win at the Ibn Batouta Stadium in Tangier.

Salem Al-Dawsari netted two penalties before Luciano Vietto's 70th-minute strike sealed victory for the Saudi Arabian side.

It took just four minutes for Al-Dawsari to take first blood.

The referee pointed to the spot without hesitation after Matheuzinho tripped Vietto in the area.

The Saudi Arabian, who scored his country's winning goal against Argentina at the recent World Cup, calmly tucked his shot into the bottom corner.

It did not take long for the Brazilians to equalise.

Everton Ribeiro played the ball to Pedro who side-footed it beyond the goalkeeper's reach with 20 minutes gone.

Deep into first-half stoppage-time, the contest swung in Al-Hilal's favour.

Gerson conceded a penalty and was consequently sent off for a second yellow card.

Once again Al-Dawsari made no mistake from 12 yards to put his side ahead.

With 20 minutes remaining, Vietto then smashed the ball in to the roof of the Flamengo net.

Pedro gave Flamengo a glimmer of hope as he bagged his brace in the 91st minute but the opposition were able to hold on for a famous victory.

Egyptian team Al Ahly are due to face Real Madrid in the next semi-final tomorrow in the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

The winner of that will then take on Al Hilal in the decider on February 11 after the third place match.
