USA Taekwondo (USATKD) has announced its new coach and referee directors, with both successful candidates also earning places on the organisation’s Board of Directors.

Four candidates were nominated for the position of referee director - with John Holloway successful after earning 34 per cent of the vote.

The defeated candidates were Jun Yoon, with 32 per cent of the vote, Bernard Robinson, with 19 per cent and Martin Marcus with 16 per cent.

Ron Southwick ran unopposed for the position of coach director, and was elected to the role.

Both Holloway and Southwick will serve on the USA Taekwondo Board of Directors from 2023 to 2026, through becoming referee and coach director respectively.

USATKD said that it congratulated both successful candidates, and thanked the other candidates for their efforts.

To be eligible for candidacy, individuals were required to be a current USATKD member in good standing.
