The Kiribati National Olympic Committee (KNOC) Athletes' Commission has reviewed its workplan for 2023 and completed a four-day evaluation of their activities in 2022.

Work first focused on monitoring what was achieved in 2022 and evaluating their success, tying in with a review of the ongoing KNOC Athletes' Commission Operational Plan 2021 to 2024; to ensure it aligned with the KNOC Strategic Plan.

It also allowed the members to review its 2023 budget and calendar, with the country set to compete at the 2023 Pacific Games later this year in the Solomon Islands.

During the meetings, the KNOC Athletes' Commission also finalised its body's election procedures and policy for future votes.

KNOC President Nicholas McDermott and secretary general Tenoa Betene attended on the final day to provide guidance on how to carry out elections.

Kiribati, a small nation in the Pacific Ocean made up of 32 atolls, has competed at five Olympic Games, but is yet to win a medal yet.
