USA Taekwondo (USATKD) has begun its search for a new coach director and referee director for the new term beginning next month with both positions also on the Board of Directors.

Eligible and interested people have been encouraged to apply for the roles before the deadline on December 30.

"To be eligible for these positions you must have been a current USATKD member in good standing prior to the publication of this notice," a USA Taekwondo statement read.

"Please include your taekwondo resume, and a brief position statement (no more than 250 words) that will be published alongside eligible candidates once vetted."

"It is anticipated that the voting period will run from January 2 - 7, 2023, with the new board members seated immediately to begin their four year term at the January Board of Directors Meeting."

The United States has won the third-most Olympic medals in taekwondo with 10, behind South Korea's leading 22 and China's 11.

Steven López has won two gold medals - in the men's under-68-kilograms category at Sydney 2000 and under-80kg division at Athens 2004.

Anastasija Zolotic also won gold at Tokyo 2020 in the women's under-57kg.
