The 25-year-old led an Austrian podium sweep as he registered a total time of 1min 39.283sec.

He was followed by Wolfgang Kindl and Jonas Müller who picked up silver and bronze with respective times of 1:39.327 and 1:39.378.

Gleirscher clocked in after 49.539 to set a new track record on his first run.

"We have already seen at the Austrian Championship that we have a great speed and that we fight amazingly in the team," Gleirscher said.

"That's why this victory today is incredible, but deserved.

"We were laughing early on today that the doubles had quite a lead, but we followed up quite well with our quadruple victory.

"We all work together, no one has secrets from each other, and it was great to be able to present ourselves as a team like that today."

Gleirscher then won the sprint division with a rapid time of 32.599 to beat Kindl once again as he was 0.012 away from gold.

Another Austrian, Dominik Fischnaller, made up the top three after clocking in 32.633.

"I really like the sprint," Gleirscher said.

"After all the wins of our team, I just had to bring that one home as well.

"I don't even know what to say.

"It was just an awesome day today."

Madeleine Egle, also of Austria, won the women's sprint ahead of the United States' Emily Sweeney and German Julia Taubitz.

"To win four races here in Igls together with my sister is insane," said Egle.

"If someone had told us that before, we wouldn't have believed it.

"I really struggled in the pre-season preparation and didn't think I had made such a jump, but it seems to be the case.

"Tomorrow we have to get up at four in the morning, so I don't think it matters if we party through today."
