The awards are being supported by major event organisers including World Triathlon, Super League Triathlon and the Professional Triathletes Organisation and are set to be handed out at the Palais de la Mediterranee on January 20.  

Awards are due to be handed out in 11 categories, celebrating athletes, as well as brands and contributors to the sport.

The two main athlete awards are Best Male Triathlete and Best Female Triathlete, plus there is also a category for Rookie of the Year.

Three categories will recognise products that assist with the sport’s three disciplines - in the form of Best Swim Product, Best Bike Product and Best Run Product.

There are two further product-based categories - Outstanding Nutrition Product and Outstanding Tech Product.

There is also an Outstanding Contributor category to recognise an individual who has made a significant impact on the sport.

Two Lifetime Kudos categories complete the line-up, with one award to a Contributor and a second to a Professional Triathlete.

Members of the public are able to submit nominations in each of the categories, and following a large number of requests for a time extension, organisers have announced that nominations are now open until Sunday November 27.
