He registered an overall score of 271kg to fend off his brother Mansour Al-Saleem, who made 249kg, in second.

Seraj commanded a 121kg in snatch and an incredible 150kg in clean and jerk to easily beat Mansour's snatch tally of 114kg and clean and jerk score of 135kg.

Alzouri sealed bronze for totalling 239kg, with the majority of his tally - 132kg - coming in clean ad jerk.

Abbas Alabdulal lifted the third-most, 108kg, in snatch.

In the men's basketball final, Ohod produced a remarkable 20-point comeback against Al-Ittihad to secure the gold medal with a 79-65 victory.

Al-Ittihad looked to be steamrolling to the win after scoring 30 to their opponent's 10 in the first quarter.

However, Ohod chipped away at the lead and suddenly burst into life in the third quarter, scoring 23 and limiting Al-Ittihad to just 14.

The tide completely turned in the fourth quarter as Ohod's hot hands allowed them to record 28 points.

Al-Ittihad notched just seven.

Al-Fateh sealed the bronze medal thanks to an 88-67 triumph over Al-Wehda.

Unlike the final, Al-Fateh were always in control as they won three of the four quarters scoring wise.
