The Teqball Burgenland Tour has launched in Austria in a bid to further promote the sport.

Officials from the Austria Teqball Federation announced the initiative which will visit schools and sports clubs in Burgenland, the country's easternmost state.

It is hoped that the project will support the International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) as it works to grow the sport in Europe.

A launch event was held at the Viva Sports Center in Burgenland, where the national teqball body is based.

Hungarian club Steqerz provided a demonstration.

"FITEQ would like to thank the President of the Austrian Teqball Association Alexandra Koncar and the President of Teqball Burgenland, Georg Pangl, for initiating and implementing this project and for the ongoing good work in expanding the sport at national and regional level," FITEQ said.
