Blast Motion's software combines swing analytics with a mobile app, cloud-based services and insights to provide organisations, coaches and players with real-time development feedback and personalised hitting assessments.

The company has programmes for baseball and softball which will both be available for all WBSC Europe member associations.

"Hitting is one of the key areas where Europe needs to improve in order to compete better against the top countries globally," said WBSC Europe President Kruno Karin.

"This agreement and technology and services provided by Blast are part of our development plan and its building blocks.

"Blast will provide comprehensive training to European baseball and softball coaches during the next three years to help develop our hitting.

"Blast Motion coupled with coaches' guidance will be a big step forward for the European baseball and softball development."

It is expected that the technology will help to advance a player's skills as it provides automatic swing quality assessment reports, video analysis and comparisons, 3D swing tracer visualisations and leaderboards tailored to teams.

Blast has a database of over 250 million swings to create comparison insights to deliver training methods.
