Austria won the battle for supremacy against Britain in the cloth discipline after the two nations met in each of the three finals at the World Dodgeball Championships in Edmonton.

The Austrians initially defeated the Britons 16-14 in the mixed cloth event before Britain's men's team got one back with a 20-12 triumph.

The women's cloth final was the showdown to decide who held the bragging rights, and Austria were up to the task as they bested Britain 21-11 at the Saville Community Sports Centre.

In the bronze matches, the United States took two of the three cloth bronzes.

They dominated hosts Canada, winning 29-3 in the men’s event, as well as triumphing 19-11 against Australia in the mixed competition.

It was not all bad news for Australia, however, with the Oceania country walking away with the women's cloth bronze medal, defeating Italy 16-12.

In the mixed foam event, Canada imposed a 5-3 defeat on Malaysia to secure a gold on their home floor.

The United States achieved bronze after bettering Australia 8-4.
