Zurabiani's team-mate Nukri Migrijanashvili claimed a bronze medal along with Spain's Luis Gavilan as the losing semi-finalists.

Nataliya Nikolaychyk added another Ukrainian gold medal in the women's J1 under-48kg, via round-robin victories over Italian Alessandra Spampinato and Emmanouela Masourou from Greece.

Masourou defeated Spampinato to take the silver medal.

Anzhela Havrysiuk made it a third title for Ukraine by beating Asia Giordano of Italy in the women's J1 under-57kg final.

German Vanessa Wagner and Merve Uslu from Turkey took the bronze medals.

The last Ukrainian gold medal went to Anastasiia Harnyk in the women's J1 over-70kg, where she defeated all three of her opponents in a round-robin format.

Nazan Akin Gunes from Turkey secured two wins from three for silver, while Khatira Ismiyeva of Azerbaijan's win over Lina Stroetzel from Germany gave her the bronze medal.

Turkey got three golds medal, including one for Ibrahim Bolukbasi in the men's J2 over-90kg.

Abdurrahim Ozalp took the men's J1 under-60kg title with four wins from four in the round-robin phase.

Miguel Vieira from Portugal took silver and Ismayil Muradov from Azerbaijan claimed bronze.

A third gold came in the women's J2 under-57kg thanks to Zeynep Celik, as Ukraine's Inna Sych and Jelena Breskovic from Croatia took the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

Ina Kaldani and Giorgi Kaldani took golds for Georgia in the women's J2 under-70kg and men's J2 under-73kg categories, respectively.

Nathan Petit of France was second in the latter and Namig Abasli from Azerbaijan plus Lithuania's Osvaldas Bareikis winning bronze medals.

France won two gold medals, in the men's J2 under-90kg and women's J2 under-48kg.

Helios Latchoumanaya was joined on the men's J2 under-90kg podium by Ukrainian Oleksander Nazarenko, plus bronze medallists Lasha Kizilashvili of Georgia and Ukraine's Dmytro Solovey.

Sandrine Aurieres Martinet took women's J2 under-48kg gold in front of Ukraine's Yuliia Ivanytska and then Carmen Brussig of Switzerland.

Italy's only home victory came through Carolina Costa in the women's J2 over-70kg.

Costa was joined on the podium by runner-up Prescillia Leze of France and Azerbaijan's Dursadaf Karimova.

There were also gold medals for Sweden's Nicolina Pernheim in the women's J1 under-70kg, Azerbaijan's Ilham Zakiyev in the men's J1 over-90kg, Oleg Cretul of Moldova in the men's J1 under-90kg and Romania's Florin Alexandru Bologa in the men's J1 under-73kg.

Of the 20 countries participating in the IBSA Judo European Championships, 16 won medals.
