Brazil defeated hosts Colombia 1-0 to win a fourth Copa América Femenina in a row, with Debinha's penalty proving decisive.

The star forward was brought down clumsily in the Colombian box at Bucaramanga's Estadio Alfonso López and dispatched the resulting penalty herself, with the goalkeeper guessing early and wrong.

Colombia tested Brazilian shot-stopper Lorena from distance on several occasions but could not get through, while some last-ditch defending denied teenager Linda Caicedo a one-on-one late in the piece.

Brazil's efforts to score a second goal were undermined by wayward finishing, but it would not matter as their defence held firm to secure the victory.

Debinha finished the Copa América Femenina with five goals, one shy of Argentina's Yamila Rodríguez who won the golden boot.

Both teams had already earned places at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in New Zealand and Australia by virtue of reaching this final.
