Ukraine were denied three gold medals in the boys' artistic gymnastics finals here at the Banská Bystrica European Youth Olympic Festival while girls' uneven bars and vault victors were also crowned.

All-around winner in Slovakia Radomyr Stelmakh was the first Ukrainian to miss out on top spot in the individual apparatus deciders.

The 26-year-old posted an execution score of 8.666 with a difficulty rating of 5.0 to give him a final rating of 13.666 in the boys' floor exercise at the Zimný Štadión.

He executed an impressive routine which included a front full to double front, two and a half double full and triple full but it was not enough to usurp Britain's Danny Crouch.

Crouch, who led for the entire final after going first, picked up a marginal victory on 13.900 points with a superb piked double front highlighting his commanding display.

The Netherlands Amine Abaidi rounded out the top three as 13.600 points were enough to see him secure the bronze medal.

Kristijonas Padegimas was victorious in the next event, the pommel horse, as he carried on his brilliant form from the all-around where he was awarded a huge 9.2 for execution.

The Lithuanian was smooth throughout the entire routine and capped it off with a clean dismount for 14.466 points.

Stelmakh suffered again and was forced to settle for silver with 14.066 despite attempting a more difficult routine than his opponent.

Austrian Alfred Schwaiger was the last occupant of a podium place as he finished third with 13.566 points.

Sweden's Luis Il-Sung Melander was remarkable in the rings to pick up gold on 13.633 ahead of Ukraine's Dmytro Prudko, denying the country of a gold for the day.

Prudko was only marginally behind with 13.466 points while Paco Fernandes Henriques of France's scored 13.333 to bag bronze.

Italian Martina Pieratti's 13.566 ensured she pipped German duo Helen Kevric and Meolie Maria Jauch to the girls' uneven bars gold as they finished with 13.466 and 13.200 respectively.

Kevric then made no mistake in the vault as she managed a flawless full twisting Yurchenko to give her an edge and take 13.516 points.

Britain's Ruby Evans and Sara Jacobsen of Denmark picked up silver and bronze medals with respective scores of 13.483 and 13.299.
