Hosts Colombia have taken charge of Group A at the Copa América Femenina via a 3-0 win over Bolivia.

Leicy Santos and Daniela Arias scored either side of an own goal at the Estadio Olimpico Pascual Guerrero in Cali, with Colombia also missing a penalty.

The win leaves Colombia on six points with two wins from two - three clear of second-placed Ecuador, who have played one game less and like Colombia have a goal difference of +5.

Paraguay edged out Chile in the day's other match at the same stadium.

Rebeca Fernández and Jessica Martínez goals gave the Paraguayans a 2-1 half-time lead, with Daniela Pardo netting for Chile.

Fabiola Sandoval scored a crucial third for Paraguay, before Yenny Acuña added a stoppage-time consolation for Chile.

Paraguay had lost to Colombia in their opener, while this was Chile's first match of the tournament.

Group-stage action is due to continue tomorrow, with the Copa América Femenina offering qualification for both the 2023 FIFA World Cup and Paris 2024 Olympics.
