Tokyo 2020 Olympic combined champion Janja Garnbret has added yet another gold medal to her collection after topping the women's lead standings at the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) World Cup in Chamonix in France.

The Slovenian fended off Italian Olympian and world bronze medallist Laura Rogora, who finished second.

South Korea's Olympian Seo Chae-hyun claimed the bronze medal.

Missing out on a podium position were Jessica Pilz of Austria and Natsuki Tanii of Japan as both athletes came fourth and fifth.

In the men's event, former world champion Adam Ondra bettered the opposition to achieve gold.

The Czech athlete out-climbed Japan's Taisei Homma as well as the United States' Sean Bailey.

Slovenia’s Luka Potočar completed the competition in fourth while Germany's Yannick Flohé, the 2021 men's combined champion, ranked fifth.

The IFSC World Cup series is due to stay in France with the tour heading to Briançon, where the men's and women's lead events are scheduled to be staged, on July 22 and 23.
