Ian Tarrafeta Serrano scored 10 goals for Spain, aiding them to the win, backed up by the four goals from Imanol Garciandia Alustiza, who scored the winner.

Garciandia scored the final goal of the match in the last minute, leading the Spaniards to a 28-27 victory.

Mohammad Sanad scored seven for the Egyptians, while Yehia Elderaa and Ahmed Mesilhy both netted four.

Elderaa put Egypt two ahead, but Tarrafeta Serrano scored a double to equalise, before Garciandia scored the decider.

Serbia ran away in the bronze medal match, beating North Macedonia 34-29.

After holding the lead at multiple stages within the first 23 minutes - helped by five goals each from captain Kostadin Petrov and Petar Atanasijevikj - North Macedonia suffered a collapse going into half-time, a trend that continued in the second-half.

Vukasin Vorkapic was the most incisive player in the match, scoring six from six attempts to help Serbia to victory.

In the women's final, Spain also secured gold, beating Croatia 29-25.

Captain Carmen Campos Costa was the standout performer from Spain, scoring nine - a feat matched by Katarina Pavlovic from the other side of the bench.

Spain took a four-goal lead into half-time and were able to nullify Croatia's threat, holding that lead afterwards.

Serbia won the bronze medal by beating Portugal 26-22.

Aleksandra Vukajlovic and captain Jovana Jovovic both scored seven for the winners on their way to victory.
