Brazilian Marlon Modolo Zanotelli won a seven rider jump-off to win the latest round of equestrian’s Global Champions Tour - the Grand Prix of Paris.

Zanotelli, riding Like A Diamond Van Het Scheck, managed a clear round in the jump-off in 36.07 seconds, enough to claim victory.

Five of the seven riders in the jump-off went clear, with second place going to Britain’s Lily Attwood, on board Cor-Leon Vd Vlierbeekz in 37.55.

Lillie Keenan of the United States, riding Queensland E, was third in 39.13, with Dutch rider Eric Van Der Vleuten and Dreamland in fourth in 39.53.

The slowest of the clear riders in the jump-off was Norway’s Geir Gulliksen, riding Equine America Grandino H, who ended fifth in 41.81.

Olivier Robert of France, riding Vivaldi Des Meneaux, had the second fastest jump-off time of 36.34 but his 4.00 penalty meant he finished sixth overall.

Last in the jump-off was Britain’s John Whitaker, riding Equine America Unick Du Francport, in a time of 38.93, however 4.00 a point penalty meant he ended in seventh place.

In the overall standings today’s winner Zanotelli sits eighth with 116 points, with Germany’s Christian Ahlmann, who finished 15th in Paris, leading with 210 points.

Britain’s Ben Maher sits second overall on 182, with Pieter Devos of Belgium in third on 139.

The next round of equestrian’s Global Champions Tour is due to be held in Monaco between June 30 and July 2.
