Women's top seed Nouran Gohar ended the group stage of the PSA World Tour Finals unbeaten ©PSA World Tour

Top seeds Nouran Gohar and Ali Farag of Egypt were among the winners as the line-ups for the semi-finals of the Professional Squash Association World Tour Finals were completed following the final day of group action in Cairo.

In women’s Group A Gohar ended the group phase undefeated after beating Joelle King of New Zealand 11-6, 11-1.

Amanda Sobhy of the United States also booked her place in the semi-finals after overcoming England’s Georgina Kennedy 11-4, 11-4 in sweltering conditions at the Mall of Arabia.

In the day’s game in women’s Group B, England’s Sarah-Jane Perry came from behind to beat Rowan Elaraby of Egypt 5-11, 11-8, 12-10, as she secured third place in the group.

In the women’s semi-finals, Gohar will face Hania El Hammamy in an all-Egyptian affair, while Sobhy will take on second seed and defending champion Nour El Sherbini of Egypt in a replay of last year’s World Tour Finals title match.

In men’s Group A, Farag completed his group campaign against compatriot Mohamed ElShorbagy.

Both players had already secured their semi-final spots, with the repeat of the World Championship final won by Farag 11-8, 12-10, as he earned top spot in the group.

In the group’s other match third seed Diego Elias of Peru overcame Mazen Hesham of Egypt 11-5, 12-10.

The day’s Group B game saw Joel Makin of Wales defeat Tarek Momen of Egypt 11-7, 14-12.

In the men’s semi-finals, Farag takes on compatriot Mostafa Asal, with second seed Paul Coll of New Zealand taking on ElShorbagy.

The semi-finals in both the men's and women's tournaments are due to be played tomorrow.
