India's Avani Lekhara broke the women's 10-metre air rifle standing SH1 world record at the World Shooting Para Sport World Cup in Chateauroux in France.

The Paralympic champion set a new best of 250.6 points to defeat Emilia Babska from Poland in the final, with her opponent's total being 247.6.

Bronze went to Anna Normann from Sweden, who narrowly pipped Veronika Vadovicova of Slovakia to the final spot on the podium.

India took gold in the mixed 10m air rifle standing SH2 too thanks to Sriharsha Devaraddi Ramakrishna, who won the title by 0.5 points, with a score of 253.1.

Francek Gorazd Tirsek of Slovenia took silver on 252.6.

Tanguy de la Forest of France came from behind to defeat Nicole Haeusler of Switzerland to the bronze.

Jean-Louis Michaud claimed the men's 10m air rifle standing SH1 title, with the French shooter staying in front throughout to defeat Csaba Rescsik of Hungary by a score of 246.7 to 244.8.

Slovakian Radoslav Malenovsky took the bronze medal, putting in an impressive round to beat China's Ren Bo.

Finally, Szymon Sowinski of Poland won the mixed 25m pistol SH1 gold medal after finishing on 30 points.

Olivera Nakovska-Bikova of North Macedonia took the silver medal with 27, while Huang Xing claimed bronze on 20 points.

Huang defeated his Chinese compatriots - Yang Chao and Lou Xiaolong - to the final podium position, with his team-mates placing fourth and fifth.
