Boryana Kaleyn and Stiliana Nikolova have completed the one-two for Bulgaria in the rhythmic gymnastics all-around event at the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) World Challenge Cup in Pamplona in Spain.

Kaleyn acquired the top spot after accumulating 128.700 across the four events while Nikolova received silver for 126.450.

Slovenia’s Ekaterina Vedeneva secured bronze for a total of 124.250.

Nikolova outfoxed both her competitors in the clubs and the ribbon on day two of the competition.

The 16-year-old initially tallied 32.450 in the clubs to defeat Nikolova’s 31.550 and Kaleyn’s 31.350.

Next, the Bulgarian produced a performance worthy of 31.400 in the ribbon, which was 0.200 more than her compatriot and 1.500 better than the Slovenian.

In the group all-around, Italy followed up their outstanding display yesterday with another table-topping show in the ball and ribbon.

They were judged at 32.850, which set their score at 86.900 overall.

Israel and Spain, who trailed in second and third in the all-around standings, were their closest challengers with 30.200 and 29.100.

This put their overall totals at 62.800 and 61.100, respectively.

The FIG World Challenge Cup is scheduled to finish tomorrow.
