South Africa triumphed in the first four legs of the series, with back-to-back competitions held in both Dubai and Spain.

Olympic champions Fiji returned to the series by winning the Singapore stop, before Argentina earned victory in Canada.

The success saw Argentina move just six points behind South Africa in the standings, with Australia a further five back in third.

South Africa will hope to preserve their lead at the seventh stop in Toulouse, before the final events in London and Los Angeles.

South Africa will face competition from Samoa, Ireland and Spain in Pool D, with Australia meeting neighbours and reigning series champions New Zealand in Pool C.

Scotland and the United States also feature in the pool.

Argentina, England, Canada and Japan will compete in Pool A, with Fiji facing France, Kenya and Wales in Pool B.

The pool phase will begin tomorrow at the Stade Ernest-Wallon, before the knockout stage starts on Saturday (May 21).

Competition will conclude on Sunday (May 22).

Toulouse will be the sixth and final event of the women’s series.

Australia have already secured the overall title after winning four of the events, with the US earning the other title in Málaga.

The US are part of a battle for second place in the overall standings, with the team four points adrift of France.

Ireland and Fiji will also have hopes of ending as the series runners-up.

Australia, the US, Fiji and South Africa will compete in Pool A tomorrow, while New Zealand, Canada, Spain and Scotland contest Pool B.

Ireland, France, Brazil and England will compete in Pool C.
