Canada’s Mikaël Kingsbury and Australia’s Jakara Anthony have swept to the men’s and women’s overall moguls titles after championing in the International Ski Federation's dual moguls events at the Megève World Cup.

Kingsbury, who won silver at Beijing 2022, comfortably finished top of the overall rankings on 1,072 points.

Four hundred of these points were won in dual moguls, standings that he also ended the season top of.

The 29-year-old fended off Finland’s Severi Vierelä and the United States’ Cole McDonald with scores of 28-7 and 33-2 in the round of 16 and quarter-finals.

He later beat Sweden’s Ludvig Fjällström 22-13 in the semi-finals and later strode to a 25-10 victory against Ikuma Horishima of Japan in the final.

Taking bronze was Fjällström, who defeated compatriot Walter Wallberg 33-2.

These results meant Horishima and Wallberg ended the season second and third in the dual moguls and overall moguls standings, respectively.

Three hundred of Horishima’s 940 points in the overall moguls standings derived from dual moguls while Wallberg gathered 208 points from the discipline to bring his overall score to 613.

On the other hand, Anthony completed her final World Cup leg as runner-up to France’s Perrine Laffont.

The number one seed overcame Germany’s Hanna Weese 25-10 in the round of 16 before taking down the United States Hannah Soar 20-15 in the quarter-finals.

Anthony then defeated another American, Jaelin Kauf, in the next round to set up a match with Laffont in the final.

However, the Australian’s 16 points was three points lower than her competitor and she settled for silver.

Kauf defeated compatriot Kai Owens by scoring a perfect 35 to secure bronze.

Anthony did enough to top the overall moguls standings on 925 points and the dual moguls table on 340 points.

Laffont, who won the moguls title yesterday, finished second in the dual moguls and overall moguls with tallies of 296 and 906.

Owens came third in the dual moguls standings with 200 points but finished sixth in the overall moguls standings after scoring just 206 in the moguls discipline.

Japan’s Anri Kawamura ended the campaign third in overall moguls on 704 points after superbly picking up 609 of her score in moguls.
