Opseth achieved the highest scores in both rounds of the competition at the Holmenkollbakken venue in the Norwegian capital.

The 22-year-old scored 125.3 in the first round of the large hill event, before receiving 124.4 with her second effort.

Her overall total of 249.7 was enough to clinch victory, the first by a Norwegian woman on the World Cup circuit since Eirin Maria Kvandal triumphed at Ljubno last January.

Slovenia’s Nika Kriznar was narrowly behind Opseth on 247.1 points, with Japan’s Sara Takanashi third on 237.7.

Olympic champion Ursa Bogataj was fourth, with the Slovenian scoring 235.4 points.

Kriznar remains the leader of the women's Raw Air tournament with an overall score of 1,217.1, prior to tomorrow’s final event in Oslo.

Bogataj and Takanashi will seek to replace Kriznar tomorrow, with the duo completing the current top three on 1,168.1 and 1,167.1 respectively.

Hosts Norway also enjoyed success in the men's event, where Olympic large hill champion Marius Lindvik emerged as the winner.

Lindvik earned 270.4 points over the two competition rounds to finish top of the standings.

He finished clear of Germany’s Markus Eisenbichler, whose tally of 268.8 points proved enough for second place.

The podium was rounded off by Robert Johansson, with the Norwegian scoring 267.7.

His compatriot Daniel Andre Tande placed fourth on 264.1.

Austria’s Stefan Kraft remains top of the men's Raw Air tournament standings on 806 points, despite his eighth place finish today.

World Cup leader and Olympic normal hill gold medallist Ryōyū Kobayashi of Japan is second on 790.9, followed by Germany’s Karl Geiger on 779.3.

Eisenbichler is 0.2 behind Geiger.
