The Fair SAMBO campaign brand ambassador and four-time world sambo champion Kurzhev appears to highlight the importance of promoting integrity within the athletes' community in the video, .

"Education should be massive in our sport," said Kurzhev.

"Because the more people get acquainted with the basics of the rules of integrity, there will be reduced risk of match fixing in sambo."

He also mentioned why it is crucial to avoid threats such as competition-manipulation and behaviours that impact people’s positive experience of sport.

The FIAS along with its partner CSCF is hoping to reduce such issues in the next three years.

The International Olympic Committee granted full recognition for FIAS last year.

Sambo is set to feature at the Birmingham 2022 World Games for the first time since 1993.

The FIAS now has 97 member states.
