Paralympic champions Britain and hosts France have secured back-to-back wins to progress to the next round of the Wheelchair Rugby European Championship Division A in Paris.

France, who registered a comfortable victory over Switzerland, fought a close match against Denmark but managed to defeat their opponents 50-46 in Pool A.

Meanwhile, Britain recorded a 64-52 victory over Germany to top the group.

In the other Pool A match, Russia outscored Switzerland 50-42 to keep their tournament hopes alive.

In Pool B, The Netherlands overcame Poland to take their qualification hopes to the final day.

By suffering back-to-back defeats, Switzerland and Poland now cannot qualify for the next round.

The final pool matches will be held tomorrow whilst the semi-finals will be held on Friday (February 25).

The games to determine who will take home gold, silver and bronze is scheduled for Saturday (February 26).
