Indonesia celebrated a successful day at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Grand Prix in Jakarta after winning two out of three gold medals in the capital.

The result propelled the host country to the top of the overall medal table.

The men's 10 metres air pistol final saw an all-Indonesian affair take place as Muhamad Iqbal Raia Prabowa took on Wira Sukmana.

Prabowa pulled off a commanding 17-9 victory as he scored below 10 on just two attempts.

Malaysia's Guanjie Johnathan Wong finished third in the medal match, which took place before the final, with a score of 31.5 to secure the bronze medal.

Wong finished first in the qualification stage, narrowly beating Indonesia's Sulthanul Aulia Maruf and Prabowa, but could not perform at the highest level during the latter stages.

Monica Daryanti and Fathur Gustafian brought more joy to Indonesia with victory in the 10m air rifle mixed team event.

The pair put Singapore's Fernel Qian Ni and Tianrui Gai to the sword with a humbling 16-8 win.

The result made up for Gustafian's loss to Napis Tortungpanich of Thailand in the men's 10m air rifle gold medal match yesterday.

Bronze medals went to Bangladeshi pair Sayeda Atika Hasan and Md Rabbi Hasan Munna and the Thai duo of Jayden Jitrawee Mohprasit and Torungpanich.

Malaysia's Syasya Nadiah Binti Mohd Arifin Nurul dominated Xiu Hong Teh of Singapore 17-7 to claim the women's 10m air pistol title.

Natsara Champalat bagged the bronze after recording 35.5 points in the medal match.

The action is due to continue tomorrow in Indonesia as gold medals will be handed out in the 10m mixed team air pistol, men's and women's team air rifle events and men's and women's air pistol tournaments.
