Tibhar has been named the official table tennis supplier of the Munich 2022 European Championships.

The company, which is also partnered with Bavaria's regional table tennis federation, will provide the tables and floor for the event.

"Thanks to the cooperation with Tibhar, we have high-end products and a very competent and experienced partner at our side," said Klaus Cyron, head of sponsorship and sales at Munich 2022.

"The preparations for the European Table Tennis Championships at the European Championships Munich 2022 are according to plan and we are looking forward to 13 August 2022, when the first of many exciting and spectacular rallies will be played."

Men's and women's singles and doubles tournaments, as well as a mixed doubles contest, are on the programme for the multi-sport European Championships.

"I am really happy that we will finally have a big competition in Germany again - especially after the hard COVID situation of the last months," said Tibhar chief executive Roland Berg.

"Besides our TIBHAR Smash 28/R tables that have already been the official table of the last three European Championships we are very proud to announce the debut of our new table tennis floor TIBHAR GRIP Europe for such a big event.

"The cooperation and communication with the organisers of the event are perfect and we are looking forward to a table tennis festival with many spectators!"

Munich 2022 is set to take place from August 11 to 21 in the Bavarian capital, with 178 gold medals due to be awarded across nine sports.

As part of the build-up, German table tennis player Sabine Winter played the sport on the roof of Munich's Olympic Stadium in a nod to the 2022 European Championships' slogan "Back to the Roofs".
