Olympic gold medallist Jessica Fox added another major title to her collection with victory in the women's K1 event at the Oceania Canoe Slalom Championships in Penrith in Australia.

Fox justified her status as the red-hot favourite for gold as she beat younger sister Noemie in the final.

The Olympic C1 champion completed the course at Penrith Whitewater Stadium in 105.09sec.

She finished more than five seconds clear of her sister as Noemie took silver in 110.95.

Kate Eckhardt, also of Australia, claimed bronze after finishing more than 10 seconds slower than the formidable Fox.

Australia's Lucien Delfour triumphed in the men's K1 final after clocking 95.42.

Delfour, eighth in the K1 final at the postponed Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games last year, edged out Frenchman Mathieu Biazizzo to claim the continental crown.

Tim Anderson bolstered the host nation's medal tally by earning bronze.

Fox, also a multiple world champion, will have the chance to wrap up the K1 and C1 double tomorrow after qualifying for the final in the latter discipline.

The 27-year-old topped the semi-final standings in 104.10, 3.77 ahead of her sister.

The Oceania Championships conclude tomorrow.
