Four new members of the World Curling Federation Athletes Commission have been appointed, replacing outgoing men's, mixed doubles and wheelchair representatives.

United States' Tyler George and Benoît Schwarz from Switzerland are the new men's members in place of former chair Nolan Thiessen and Scotland's David Murdoch.

Harri Lill of Estonia has replaced Kim Forge from Australia as the mixed doubles representative, while Rune Lorentsen of Norway is the new representative for wheelchair curling instead of the United States' Patrick McDonald.

Already on the Commission are women's representatives Anna Kubešková of Czech Republic and Canada's Jill Officer, as well as Cathrine Lindahl from Sweden, the Board liaison and vice-chair.

A new Commission chair is to be named at its first meeting.

George was part of the unlikely victors in men's curling at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games, playing third in John Shuster's team that won gold for the US.

Matt Hamilton and Jon Landsteiner were part of the team too, with Joe Polo playing as alternate.

Schwarz has long played on Peter de Cruz's rink, winning bronze at Pyeongchang 2018.

He is a four-time world bronze medallist and the 2013 European champion too.

Lill has competed in four World Mixed Doubles Championships with Marie Turmann, with a best-placed finish of fifth in 2019.

Lorentsen claimed silver at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Paralympic Games with Norway, losing the final to China.
