The United States' Oksana Masters won her first gold medal of this year's World Para Snow Sports Championships, beating team-mate Kendall Gretsch in the latest round of cross-country races in Lillehammer.

Masters won the women's sitting long race in a time of 46min 45.2sec, leading from the start of the 15.1-kilometre route to win the title by more than a minute. 

Gretsch, who won the middle race, was 40 seconds in front of bronze medallist Valiantsina Shyts of Belarus.

In the men's equivalent, Ivan Golubkov of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) won his fourth title of the World Championships in 51:14.5 over 18.1km.

Shin Eui-hyun of South Korea was second and Danila Britik, also from the RPC, claimed the bronze medal by beating Ukraine's Vasyl Kravchuk by four seconds.

Vladislav Lekomtsev led an all-Russian podium in the men's standing long race, crossing the line in 41:41.4 after 18.3km.

Rushan Minnegulov and Vitalii Malyshev were more than 40 seconds adrift to complete the podium.

Oleg Ponomarev of the RPC won his first cross-country title of the World Championships in the men's visually-impaired long contest.

His team-mate Stanislav Chokhlaev was the runner-up in front of bronze medallist Jake Adicoff of the US.

In the women's equivalent, Sviatlana Sakhanenka of Belarus claimed gold, beating RPC pair Vera Khlyzova and Anna Panferova.

Finally, Liudmyla Liashenko won by just three seconds over home favourite Vilde Nilsen of Norway in the women's standing long race.

Only 13 seconds behind the winner was American Sydney Peterson, who took bronze.
