Germany's world champion Francesco Friedrich remained unbeaten in the four-man bobsleigh this season, winning yet another International Bobsleigh Skeleton Federation (IBSF) World Cup race today in Winterberg.

Alongside Thorsten Margis Thorsten, Alexander Schueller Alexander and Martin Grothkopp, Friedrich led Germany to victory in a total time of 1min 47.95sec.

Germany also claimed second place, led by Johannes Lochner.

Lochner, with Christopher Weber Christopher, Christian Rasp Christian and Florian Bauer Florian, finished just 0.05 behind Friedrich.

Canada - Justin Kripps, Ryan Sommer, Cam Stones and Benjamin Coakwell finished third in a time of 1:48.09, just 0.14 off the lead in what was a tense contest between the three teams.

Friedrich continued to lead the IBSF World Cup four-man bobsleigh standings on 900 points, while Lochner moved up to second on 780.

Austria's Benjamin Maier, who finished sixth in Winterberg with Danut Moldovan, Markus Sammer and Kristian Huber and is third overall.
