Sweden and Switzerland claimed the last available places in the semi-finals of the Men's World Floorball Championship after winning their respective last-eight contests in Helsinki.

Eight-time champions Sweden eased to an 8-2 victory over Norway, while Switzerland thrashed Estonia 9-0 at Helsinki Ice Hall.

Sweden and Switzerland will meet for a place in the final, where they will take on either defending champions Finland or the Czech Republic.

Finland and Sweden remain on course for an eighth straight meeting in the World Championship final.

Sweden had all but sealed their place in the last four of the tournament as they raced into a 6-0 lead after just 13 minutes of their clash with Norway.

They added two further goals in the third stanza after a scoreless second period.

Switzerland were also dominant in their encounter against Estonia as they were 3-0 up in the opening period.

Two goals in the second put the game beyond Estonia before they scored four more in the final stanza to cruise into the last four.

All four semi-finalists have qualified for the 2022 World Games in Birmingham in the United States by virtue of reaching the semi-finals.
