The International Bobsleigh Skeleton Foundation (IBSF) Women's Monobob World Series returns to North America this week with back-to-back races in Park City following three events in Europe.

Park City is due to stage the latest competitions on the circuit tomorrow and Wednesday (November 24), giving North American athletes the chance to earn vital points towards the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.

American Elana Meyers Taylor triumphed in Innsbruck on Saturday (November 20), while Germany's Stephanie Schneider claimed two straight victories in Lillehammer on November 12 and 13.

Canada's Alysia Rissling won both races at the last Series leg in Whistler on November 7 and 8.

This season's circuit takes on added importance as the women's monobob is set to make its Olympic debut at Beijing 2022.

There are 20 quota places available at the Games, with the IBSF women's bobsleigh combined ranking list used to determine which athletes will qualify.

The top four National Olympic Committees in the rankings will be given two berths, the next six one berth and the top six individual athletes remaining will round out the 20 spots.

The rankings will take into account all monobob and two-woman bobsleigh World Series events up to January 16.
