Olympic silver medallist Mathilde Gremaud topped women's qualification for the slopestyle World Cup at the Stubai Zoo, but Eileen Gu did not compete.

Switzerland's Gremaud laid down a serious marker on run two, scoring 89.02 and lifting herself into the lead.

Estonia's Kelly Sildaru - a four-time slopestyle champion at the Winter X Games - was second, awarded 88.66 points by the judges.

Johanne Killi from Norway rounded out the top three with 84.98.

Sarah Hoefflin, the Olympic champion from Switzerland, Canada's Megan Oldham, American Maggie Voisin, Briton Kirsty Muir and Austria's Laura Wallner are also through to tomorrow's final.

Frenchwoman Tess Ledeux was a surprise casualty of qualification, having won at the Austrian venue last season and finished first at the opening Fresski World Cup of the season.

China's Gu did not start follow a fall in training.

It was Canada's Teal Harle and American Hunter Henderson won their respective men's qualification heats with the same score.

Both earned 92.75 points to sail into tomorrow's 16-man final.

Alex Hall, Mac Forehand, Cody Laplante, Colby Stevenson and Nick Goepper are also through to the final as six Americans quaified.

Ex-world champion Fabian Bösch will lead the Swiss charge.
